If i have proof that my employee was not sick and just stayed home and went to Movietowne , do i need to pay the employees sickleave ?

Certainly if you have proof, you should engage in a discussion with the employee and explain the purpose of sick leave and your expectations. Explain that you would have had no issue granting this benefit if it was being used for the right purpose. Offer to give them an opportunity to have it deducted from their vacation leave entitlement or other such entitlement if it exists. If they refuse, you can advise that it will be counted as an absent day without pay.
